Full recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
-
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
-
1/4 cup milk
-
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
-
1 egg
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1/2 cup bourbon
-
1 cup BBQ sauce
-
1 tablespoon brown sugar
-
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Directions:
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
-
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined.
-
Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly browned.
-
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the bourbon BBQ sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the bourbon, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Stir frequently, and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
-
Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a serving dish. Pour the bourbon BBQ sauce over the meatballs and toss to coat evenly.
-
Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
